Kent Spafford began his career with the General Electric Company. Assignments included supervisory positions in the engineering division, and 10 years in medical systems, where he was sales manager for the Western division.

In 1989 he moved to Intracorp, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cigna, as Division Vice President and General Manager. In 1994, Spafford was recruited by Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe as President and CEO of Image America, a national diagnostic imaging company. Following the successful sale of Image America, he joined Principal Care, an OB/GYN physician management start-up backed by Welsh, Carson. In 1996 Spafford became CEO of a venture capital–backed start-up that purchased Hertz Claims Management. Following the acquisition of Coresource and BHS, the company, then called Presidium, was sold to AON.

From 1999 to 2012 Kent Served as CEO and Chairman of One Call Medical. During that time the company grew from $40 million in Revenue to $1.5 billion through a series of successful recaps and acquisitions and concluding in a purchase by Apax Partners. Today Kent serves on the Board of Directors of One Call Care Management (previously called One Call Medical) and is actively involved in the company’s strategies primarily in the areas of acquisitions, legislative, regulatory and other key activities.

In addition Kent is a member of WCRI’s Core Funder Board, a Co-Chairman of AAPAN, and  a member of the Board of Kabba Fusion. He sits on  The HealthCare Advisory Board of Brown Brothers Harriman and is a member of the BBH Capital Partners Executive Advisory Committee.
